In this week’s episode of Podcast from Washington, Government Affairs Senior Specialist Ian Goldstein discusses the current Senate negotiations on a $1.2 trillion bipartisan infrastructure package. He also discusses the FY2022 budget allocations for the Labor, Health and Human Services (LHHS) appropriations bill.

Later in the program, Ian sits down with Alvina Chu, Interim Director for the Division of Infectious Diseases at the Florida Department of Health in Orange County, to take a look back at the Zika virus response in 2016. They discuss how the challenges from the Zika outbreak differ from COVID-19 pandemic and the lessons learned that helped to prepare the department for the COVID-19 response.
