In the first Podcast from Washington of 2021, NACCHO government affairs team members Ian Goldstein and Eli Briggs discuss the Senate run-off election in Georgia, and the $22 billion in funding from the CDC for states, localities, and territories in support the nation's response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Later in the program, Ian talks about the development of the Healthy People 2030 framework with Captain Paul Reed, MD, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Health, Medicine and Science at HHS. Ian also discusses implementation of Healthy People 2030 with Bryn Manzella, MPH, the Quality Improvement Officer and Director of Quality Improvement at the Jefferson County Department of Health.
